Notice Regarding the Accommodation Tax Effective July 1, 2026
Starting July 1, 2026, the state capital of Mainz will levy an accommodation tax in the form of a local excise tax. The tax will be collected and billed directly on site by the hotel where you have made your reservation. Depending on the room rate, the accommodation tax ranges from €3.00 to €5.00 per person per night
